Although we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by holding the vast majority of our internal project meetings virtually, occasional in-person gatherings remain a valuable and energising opportunity to take stock of and evaluate progress and strategically plan the next steps of our work, while strengthening collaboration.
On June 12–13, 2025, DIAMOND partners as well as members of the project’s Scientific Advisory Board came together at the premises of Oslo Science Park in Oslo, Norway, for a productive two-day meeting. The agenda focused on assessing the status of the project, exchanging insights across different activities, and outlining the roadmap for upcoming work, crucially including a plan for the uptake of the stakeholder-informed research questions developed as part of our transdisciplinary approach. The in-person format also fostered deeper discussions, cross-partner synergies, and a renewed sense of momentum as we move forward.
Given the venue, this was also the perfect opportunity to meet with our sister project WorldTrans, on June 11, 2025, to discuss potential synergies in our upcoming work plan, as well as test an Interactive Learning Environment that they have developed as part of the FRIDA model ecosystem. The two projects reaffirmed their commitment to foster cooperation and advance their shared objectives.
