The COP28 climate agreement is a step backwards on fossil fuels

In the aftermath of our COP28 side event, Dr. Alaa Al Khourdajie et al. discuss the result of COP28 on fossil fuels, and delve on the ‘Abated’ v ‘unabated’ discussion that draws from the presentation delivered in the side event, stressing that the outcome falls short on the urgency of drastically reducing fossil fuel consumption.
